My name is Bart Thijs and I am 51 years young. Since several years I live with my wife and two sons in beautiful Culemborg in the Netherland. I am an experienced consultant, project and program manager who helps clients with challenges at the intersection of business, ICT and change management. I am used to work in the role of both client and contractor.
Others describe me as social, pragmatic, decisive, reliable and to-the-point. I get a lot of energy from realizing concrete results together with a team of professionals. I think it is essential to facilitate and empower employees. Where possible I also like to contribute to their personal and professional development. After all, motivation is a precondition for success.
Complex issues are characterized by multiple, sometimes conflicting interests. As a bridge builder I am able to gain the trust of management, teams and end users. This helps me to weigh the interests of different stakeholders against each other and to respond adequately. Clear communication and good stakeholder management are crucial in this respect.
